Framed writing celebrating Noah’s adoption
‘Welcome Noah. Since you first began to stay with us, so much has changed. Your toys have made it into every single corner of the house. Your smile has lit up even the most difficult of days, for which we’re very grateful. Big bed Sunday sleep-ins are now officially our favourite time of the week…We promise to always do our best to help you feel you belong Noah: loved, seen, heard and valued for exactly who you are. Anything you ever need, any question you have, we’ll always be here for you. We can’t believe we finally get to call you our son.’ (written with his parents’ words)
Alice and Matthew’s ‘Story so far’ from their Order of Service
‘When Alice and Matthew think back to their very beginning, it’s so easy to imagine that their love story might never have been written. A single emailed invitation left unread. Another busy day meaning that first meeting just didn’t happen at all. Call it chance, call it luck or call it fate, they met and after only a few hours a seemingly simple choice was made. It changed the course of both their lives forever. To see one another again, yes, but also to open themselves up to the possibility that this really could be something beautiful.’ (written with their own words)
A photo book text celebrating Polly and her siblings
‘It’s hard to believe it now, but in the beginning, peace and quiet reigned supreme in the Harris household – a long, long time ago. Polly came first, early and all of a rush. To be honest, nothing much has changed since. Quite the introduction to parenthood, at first she would only feed if you sang to her and hardly slept, occasionally yelling at the top of her lungs, just to make sure she had your attention. She did. Now her favourite thing is to colour and draw and she does it all so beautifully. She hopes to be an artist one day.’
(written with their loved ones’ words)
Framed writing celebrating Dorothy’s big birthday
‘The kindest person, to everyone. A wonderful cook. An even better storyteller. The centre of our family. For as long as we can remember, you have been there to make sure we’re all looked after. Whenever there’s news, big or small, you like to be the first to know and if anyone needs advice, it’s you we phone…Here’s to many more Christmas dinners where there’s so much food there’s no room for plates. To watching Strictly and making up our own dances. To Sunday walks and hot chocolate after. Dot, you mean the world to us all.’ (written with her grandchildren’s words)
A wedding well-wishing centrepiece for Joshua and Reuben
‘Joshua and Reuben, how loved you are by us.
You went from colleagues, to friends, to choosing linens.
When we’re with you, we see the peace you’ve found.
We wish you nothing but fun, laughter, patience and fulfilment.
May you always find a reason to hear each other out.
May you find a way to make those travel plans reality.
May you finally agree on whether it’s one dog or two.
We couldn’t be more proud to be a part of your day.‘
(written with nominated friends’ words)
