Pricing
My Portraits’ pricing is defined by 3 key characteristics: how many contributors are involved, the complexity of the writing and length. Since each commission is valued on its own merits, the notional sizes, word counts and baseline fees below are only for guidance, but a useful starting point. Whatever your budget, I can usually tailor a Portrait to suit.
‘A snapshot’ | ~£140+ (c. 500 words) Ideal as a small amount of text to pair with pictures in a photo book; for framing (for yourself or as a gift) or presenting in a card or on a piece of artwork
‘In focus’ | ~£320+ (c. 1,500 words) Space to add detail within the text and therefore a perfect mode accompanying photo shoot pictures e.g. celebrating a new arrival or your engagement
‘Big picture’ | ~£460+ (c. 2,500 words) An opportunity to do a subject justice with several contributors and an extended piece of writing e.g. anniversary Portrait or ‘in memoriam’
‘Hannah really guided us through the process and we therefore definitely learnt more about each other, marriage and how we felt. The time she invests getting to know you, asking the right questions and creating something beautiful really pays off.’
Gillian + Ankit
My 500+ testimonials really speak to the quality of emotional return you can get via the irreplaceable creative process that’s involved in any one of my Portraits in Prose.
Depending on the time frame in which we would like to create your bespoke text, flexible deposits (e.g. 25%+) and instalment payment patterns are usually possible.
My fee can be split between more than one client/contributor if that makes working with me more achievable e.g. family members or a group of friends.
Clients often contact me loving the sound of the Portraits but wanting to understand better how my process works first – quotes are always without obligation.
