Pricing

My Portraits’ pricing is defined by 3 key characteristics: the text’s length, how many contributors are involved and how complex the writing is. Since each commission is valued on its own merits, the notional sizes, word counts and baseline fees below are only for guidance, but offer a useful starting point. Whatever your budget, I can usually tailor a Portrait to suit.

‘A snapshot’ | £80-£220+ (based on a range of 100-500 word texts with 2 contributors) | Ideal as a small amount of text to pair with pictures in a photo book; for framing (for yourself or as a gift) or presented within your bespoke wedding stationery.

‘In focus’ | ~£320+ (based on a text around 1,500 words with 2 contributors) | Space to add detail within the text and therefore a perfect accompaniment to your photo shoot pictures e.g. celebrating a family’s new arrival or a couple’s engagement.

‘Big picture’ | ~£460+ (based on a text around 2,500 words with 2 contributors) | An opportunity to really do a subject justice, whether an individual, couple or family, with an extended piece of writing e.g. an anniversary Portrait or tribute ‘in memoriam’.

Depending on the time frame in which we would like to create your bespoke text, flexible deposits (e.g. 25%+) and instalment payment patterns are usually possible.

My fee can be split between more than one client/contributor if that makes working with me more achievable e.g. family members or a group of friends.
